Pilgrim Pals Standing Arm in Arm by Corn Stalks

A smiling pilgrim boy and girl stand side by side, and the boy rests his arm across the girl's shoulders. He wears a tall buckled hat, a collared jacket with buttons down the front, a wide belt with a square buckle, knee-length pants, tall socks, and buckled shoes. She wears a ruffled bonnet, a collared dress with a bow at the waist, a long apron, and long wavy hair that falls past her shoulders. Ears of corn with leafy stalks grow in the grass on both sides of them. The big shapes and clear outlines work well for younger kids with chunky crayons. Try browns and grays for the clothes, then yellow and green for the corn. This free page is a nice fit for a classroom Thanksgiving unit, and kids can talk about what the pilgrims wore while they color.
