Rubber Duck Smiling Over Water Ripples, Swimming Fun
Coloring guide
Right in the middle of this page sits a happy rubber duck, turned a little to one side with its beak wide open in a big smile. It has large shiny eyes, a small tuft of feathers on its head, and a round wing with curved feather lines. A few wavy ripple lines under the duck show the water it floats on, which gives the whole thing a simple bath-time or pond feel. Bold outlines and roomy open spaces make it a good pick for preschoolers learning to stay inside the lines. Yellow for the body and wing, orange for the beak and soft blue for the ripples would look great. Print it free for a classroom project or a weekend craft. Love this Swimming coloring page? A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- lemon yellow
- warm orange
- soft pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big body and head: fill the whole duck body, the top knot, and the wing area with lemon yellow, keeping the water ripples and background white.
- 2Color the side of the head near the beak with the same lemon yellow, staying inside the black outlines.
- 3Fill the beak with warm orange, leaving a little space at the edges so the outline stays clean.
- 4Color the open mouth with soft pink, and keep the small white tooth shape unpainted.
- 5Leave the eye whites and the small shine spots white, so the eyes look bright and friendly.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker yellow on the lower body for a bit of depth.
