Across the middle of the page swims a big, grinning shark with a row of pointy teeth, one large round eye and three little gill lines on its side. In the top left corner floats a cute smiling jellyfish with a spotted dome and wavy tentacles, and a small seahorse clings to tall seaweed on the right. Bubbles of many sizes drift up through the water. The sandy seabed at the bottom holds a scallop shell, a spiral seashell, a few pebbles and more wavy seaweed on the left. Small hands will like the large open shapes on the shark's body, and older kids can take on the tiny bubbles and seaweed. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big shark body and both fins in ocean blue, leaving the eye and teeth white.
- 2Color the seaweed and the tall plants on both sides in leaf green, adding lime green to a few blades for variety.
- 3Fill the jellyfish cap in lavender and its tentacles with a mix of violet purple, bubblegum pink, and pale pink, keeping some tentacle tips light.
- 4Color the seahorse in golden yellow and its back fin and belly in pale yellow.
- 5Add the shells in rose pink, tangerine orange, and tan, and the seafloor rocks in light gray.
- 6Finish with the bubbles in light sky blue, the shark mouth in coral red and dusty rose, and the teeth left white. Optional: add a little darker blue along the shark's belly for depth.
