Coloring guide
A big, fluffy, friendly sheep stands in the middle of this farmyard. On its left is a hen with three tiny chicks pecking and peeping around her feet. On the right, a happy little piglet with a curly tail looks up with its mouth open. Behind the animals you'll find a wooden fence, a round hay bale, and a big barn with an X-braced door and a silo. Leafy branches hang over the top left corner, and flowers and grass tufts fill the foreground. Small swirly strokes work well for the curly wool, while the barn and hay bale are big enough for younger kids. Cream and gray on the wool with a red barn will help the animals stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big barn: color its walls and roof red, and leave the door and window lines white.
- 2Fill the sky with sky blue and the pale hills and bushes with forest green and lime green.
- 3Color the hen's body and wing burnt orange, and the pig's body and snout light pink with coral pink ears.
- 4Paint the chicks, the hay bales and the chick bodies lemon yellow, with golden yellow on the hay edges.
- 5Color the fence rails and posts caramel, the tree trunk dark brown, and the sheep's ears and legs light tan or cream.
- 6Optional: Keep the sheep's wool, the cloud and the eye whites white, and add charcoal gray hooves for the finishing touch.
