Smiling Shooting Star With Five Little Star Friends

A big smiling star with wide, rounded eyes and a small oval nose zooms across the page toward the lower left. Four curved lines stream out behind it like a tail, and short dashes around its points show how fast it is moving. Six much smaller stars, each with its own tiny smiley face, are scattered around the page. One hangs near the bottom point of the big star, and the rest float among the tail lines and along the left side. The outlines are thick and the shapes are simple, so younger kids can color without much trouble. Try giving the big star a bright yellow and then using a different color for each streak in the tail, so it looks like a rainbow trail. It is also a nice chance to count the small stars together.
