Shooting Star with Rainbow Tail Above Rolling Hills

Coloring guide
Across the night sky zooms a little star with big round eyes, rosy cheeks and an open smile, pulling three long curved ribbons behind it. Four small stars sit nearby, and a crescent moon waits in the upper corner. Down at the bottom, rolling hills run across the page with tiny grass tufts and two puffy, cloud-shaped bushes on either side. Outlines are bold and clean and the shapes are large, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can color it without getting frustrated. Sunny yellow for the face, then red, orange and purple for the tail stripes, plus a deep blue sky and green hills, will help the star glow. It's a nice pick for bedtime or a space theme at home or in class. If you enjoyed this Star page, don't miss our Beach and Tree coloring pages.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big smiling star and all the small stars with golden yellow, leaving the shiny spots in the eyes white.
- 2Color the top band of the rainbow tail coral pink, the middle band orange, and the bottom band sky blue.
- 3Color the star's smile coral pink so it stands out against the yellow face.
- 4Fill the two rolling hills and the lower meadow with pale green, working from the back hill to the front.
- 5Color the left and right bushes forest green, then add grass green to the small grass tufts at the bottom.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade along the edges of the hills and bushes to give them some depth.
