Here comes a snowman on lace-up skates, both arms stretched out and mittens raised like he's waving hello. He has a tall top hat, a striped scarf with fringed ends, round eyes, a carrot nose and a big open smile. Three round buttons run down his middle, and four snowflakes drift through the air around him. A few low snowy mounds and curved lines on the ground behind him show the frozen pond. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the top hat, its brim, and the snowman's buttons charcoal gray, then fill the hat band with cherry red.
- 2Fill both mittens and the scarf's stripes with cherry red, and use forest green for the alternating scarf stripes and the mitten cuffs.
- 3Color the carrot nose orange and the arms chocolate brown, with olive tan on the left arm.
- 4Color the skate boots bright blue, the blades and soles light gray or slate gray, and the snowbanks pale blue.
- 5Fill the smile with coral pink and leave the snowman's body, face, and snowflakes white.
- 6Optional: add light shading along the bottom of the snowman's body and the boots to make them look rounder.
