Friendly Steam Train Crossing a Stone Bridge Coloring For Kids
Coloring guide
Here comes a cheerful steam locomotive with a big friendly face, rolling over an arched stone bridge and pulling three passenger cars. A small stream runs underneath, past rocks and grassy banks. Rounded trees, rolling hills, puffy clouds and a bright sun with long rays fill the background, so there's more to color beyond the train. Large simple shapes and bold lines are easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the stone bricks and wheel spokes give older kids a bit more to work on. A bright blue engine looks great against warm gray and brown stones, with a sunny yellow sun above. Grab this free printable for a rainy afternoon or a classroom lesson on transportation. - 2Color the bridge stones in stone beige, then fill the river water in water blue and the rocks in silver gray.
- 3Paint the train engine: the boiler and cab in bright blue, the smokestack in charcoal gray with a red top, and the round face in light gray, leaving the clouds and sky white.
- 4Color the train carriages: the first carriage in bright red with light blue windows, the next in grass green, and the last in golden yellow, with charcoal gray roofs.
- 5Finish with the details: make the big wheels and front panel bright red, the sun golden yellow, the wooden track brown, and the front lamp golden yellow. Optional: add a little darker shading on the bridge stones for depth.
