Stone Arch Bridge Crossing for a Friendly Steam Train

A steam engine with a friendly smiling face puffs out a curly cloud of smoke while it crosses a stone arch bridge. A conductor in a cap leans out of the first car behind it, and three more passenger cars carry smiling riders in the windows, including two children and one person with long hair. Down below, a river with little wavy lines runs past round stepping stones and leafy bushes. Rolling hills, trees (some bare-branched, some leafy), puffy clouds and three small birds fill the sky and background. The brick pattern on the bridge gives kids lots of small blocks to color in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the river water with sky blue, leaving the arch opening and the engine face white.
- 2Color the clouds and the steam puff pale blue, and the bridge bricks, arch stones and river rocks light gray.
- 3Paint the hills, bushes and grass with grass green and lime green, then fill the bottom grass and bottom bushes with forest green.
- 4Color the engine body, boiler, chimney and cab side with bright blue, the cab roof and red car sides with bright red, and the first and last car roofs with golden yellow.
- 5Add the green car sides and the burnt orange hill behind the train, then color the tree trunks tree brown and the trees with lime green and forest green.
- 6Optional: add a darker shade of the same color along the bottom of the hills and the arch stones to give them more depth.
