Train and Car at the Railway Crossing

A smiling train with round eyes rolls toward a country level crossing while a small car waits patiently behind the wooden crossing gate. Kids can hunt for the details around them: a traffic light on a post under a crossbuck sign, wooden fences and flowers growing up front. Farther back sit a cozy cottage with a tiled roof and chimney, a large leafy tree, rolling hills, fluffy clouds and a few birds. It's a nice free printable for talking about road safety and why cars stop for trains. Try bright red or blue on the train, red and green on the signal lights, and soft yellows and pinks for the little flowers by the fence. Good for preschoolers through early elementary kids.
