Three open train cars roll down a curved track behind a steam engine with a big smiling face, and every car holds a happy animal. A spotted giraffe leans over the car at the back, a little elephant with big round ears sits in the middle one, and a lion with a fluffy mane peeks out of the car just behind the engine. The engine has a tall funnel, a round nose and wide wheels. Along the track there are tufts of grass, three flowers, two puffy clouds overhead and bushy tree shapes in the background. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: color both clouds pale sky blue, and leave the background around them white.
- 2Color the bushes and trees behind the train with forest green and grass green, then add lime green to the grass tufts in the front.
- 3Paint the train engine in bright blue, with the smokestack and its top in golden yellow and the front face in light gray, leaving the eyes and the smile white.
- 4Color the carriages next: the first car in orange, the middle car in yellow, and the lion's car in red, then add the wheels and track in dark brown and light brown.
- 5Color the animals: the giraffe in yellow with coral pink ears and burnt orange spots, the elephant in light gray with coral pink ears, and the lion in yellow with a brown mane.
- 6Optional: add a little darker gray shading under the elephant and the train front, and keep the flower petals and centers white.
