Snake Peeking From a Woven Basket, Reptiles Coloring Page

This cartoon snake rises out of a round woven basket, and its big sparkly eyes and wide smile keep it looking friendly rather than scary. A tiny forked tongue pokes out, and a row of simple curved stripes runs down its long neck and belly. The rest of the body stays coiled inside the basket. The basket has a chunky braided rim and a brick-like weave, and it rests on a round mat with a fringed edge. On either side, a leafy plant grows along a simple ground line. Large shapes and bold outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still working on pencil control. Try soft greens and yellows for the belly bands, warm tan and brown for the basket, and bright red or pink for the mat. Print it whenever you need a quick coloring break.
