Snowman Chatting with a Little Bird
Coloring guide
Here a snowman in a tall top hat holds out one stick arm, and a small round bird sits right on the tip, looking up like it's having a chat. He has a long scarf with fringed ends, a carrot nose, big friendly eyes and three round buttons on his tummy. Behind him, a snow-capped birdhouse with a little round door sits on a fence post, and snow piles up along the fence and around his base. With big shapes and clean lines, it works well for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still getting the hang of pencil control. Red and green stripes on the scarf would look festive, and a sunny yellow bird will pop against the snowman. Download the free PDF and print it at home for coloring fans of all ages. This fits right in with our Snowman coloring pages — see also Gingerbread House and Thanksgiving.

- 3Fill the little bird with sky blue and the tree branch with medium brown, keeping the thin white stripe on the branch.
- 4Paint the birdhouse body light orange, its base and the fence posts and rails medium brown, and leave the snow on the roof and fence tops white.
- 5Color the carrot nose bright orange and the three buttons charcoal gray, and leave the eye shines and the face white.
- 6Optional: add a darker dark brown touch along the shadowed side of the fence posts and the birdhouse for depth.
