Spotted Gecko Lizard Perched on a Rainy Leaf

Coloring guide
This happy gecko has big round eyes and a wide smile, and it's sitting on a large leaf while raindrops fall around it. Its head is turned toward you, and the curled tail wraps around the side of the leaf. Oval spots run along the head, back and tail, so there are lots of small areas to fill in. All four feet have wide, rounded toes, and the leaf has a clear center vein with side veins. Six teardrop raindrops are scattered around the edges of the page. Bold lines and simple shapes make this free printable a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Lime green works nicely for the gecko, with a deeper green leaf and light blue raindrops. Yellow or orange spots will stand out well. This page is part of our Lizard coloring pages collection — check out Sheep and Chameleon too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big leaf underneath the gecko and both side leaves with forest green, leaving the leaf veins as dark lines.
- 2Color the gecko's body, head, chest, legs and feet with lime green, keeping the eye whites and eye shine spots white.
- 3Color the lower jaw and cheek area of the gecko with soft yellow.
- 4Fill the spots on the back, tail and head with orange, and add the small green patch on the top of the head in lime green.
- 5Color all the raindrops around the gecko with sky blue, leaving the small curved shine lines inside them as they are.
- 6Optional: add a few darker green strokes on the leaves and a little extra shading under the gecko's belly to make it look more rounded.
