Sandwich Cookies With a Daisy Vase

Coloring guide
Three round sandwich cookies with scalloped edges are stacked on an oval plate, and each top cookie has a star in the middle. Just behind them stands a small vase decorated with a row of hearts, holding three daisy-style flowers with big petals and round centers, plus a couple of leaves poking out on the sides. Bold lines and simple shapes make it a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control, and the wide petals and stars are easy to fill in. Golden brown edges on the cookies, strawberry red stars that look like jam, and soft purple or sunny yellow daisies make a nice mix. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the plate and vase: color the plate and the vase body in sky blue, leaving the white highlights and daisy petals untouched.
- 2Fill the cookie tops, edges and bottoms with biscuit yellow, keeping the stars for later.
- 3Color the middle cookie layers: caramel brown for the top cookie, and strawberry red for the two front cookies.
- 4Add the daisy centers in golden yellow and the vase hearts band in cream, leaving the hearts white.
- 5Color the stars on the cookies in strawberry red and the leaves and stem in leaf green.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the bottom of the cookies and the plate for depth.
