Stargazing Boy with a Telescope on a Hill, Solar System & Space Page
Coloring guide
Leaning toward a telescope on a tripod, a smiling boy with tousled hair winks one eye as he looks through the eyepiece. He's dressed in a hooded sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers, standing on a grassy hill with little tufts and bushes. Above him the night sky holds drawn stars, a shooting star with a long curved tail, a big round cratered moon, and two constellations made of connected stars. Bold shapes and clean lines work for crayons, markers or colored pencils. Try a deep navy and purple sky, a bright yellow moon and stars, and a cozy red hoodie. This free printable suits a stargazing lesson or a quiet evening. Looking for more? Our Butterfly and Beach coloring pages pair nicely with this Solar System & Space page.

- 2Color the hoodie, sleeves, and hem in orange, leaving the collar area light.
- 3Color the jeans in denim blue, then the rolled cuffs in sky blue and the sneaker soles in bright red, keeping the white toe details white.
- 4For the telescope, use sky blue for the tube and denim blue for the eyepiece end, then color the tripod legs and center post silver gray, with the joints, crossbar, and base in steel blue or charcoal gray.
- 5Color the moon craters in medium gray, the shooting star head in golden yellow and its tail in warm yellow, and the hills and bushes in lime green and forest green, leaving the stars and constellations white. Optional: add a little darker shading along one side of the hoodie and the tripod legs for depth.
