Freight Train With Caboose Curving Past the Station

Coloring guide
A black steam locomotive leads a long line of cars around a curved track, with a caboose at the very end. Behind the engine you can see a boxcar, a covered car, and an open hopper-style car that looks like it holds a pile of cargo. Beside the tracks sits a small building with a peaked roof, several windows, and double doors, set on a flat paved patch. Two tall, slim trees stand in the upper right corner, and a round STOP sign on a post is near the bottom right. The engine has large wheels with connecting rods, a round front lamp, and a cab with a small window. The thick outlines are easy for small hands to color. Try coloring each car a different color, then ask kids to count the cars from engine to caboose and talk about why the train needs to stop at the sign. This free page works well for transportation lessons too.
