Steam Train Chugging Past Bubble Letter T
Coloring guide
A big, glossy bubble letter T stands tall in the middle of the scene while a friendly steam train rolls along the track in front of it. The little locomotive has a smiling face, a round nose, a tall smokestack puffing fluffy clouds and two linked passenger carriages with arched windows. The track curves back toward a stone tunnel set into a hillside. Around the letter, there are rolling hills, pine and leafy trees, bushes, a wooden fence, foreground flowers, puffy clouds and a sun with rays in the sky. A lovely way to help preschoolers learn the letter T, at home or in the classroom. A red T with a blue engine, green hills and yellow flowers would look great. This free printable has small spaces for crayons and larger ones for markers. Looking for more? Our Countries and Activity Sheets coloring pages pair nicely with this Bubble Letters page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big T letter and the top clouds: fill them with pale blue, and leave the shine on the T and the sun white.
- 2Color the hills, bushes and open grass with light green, and use grass green for the closer bushes and grass patches.
- 3Add forest green to the pine trees and tree tops, and use lime green for the field grass and the lower hill patches.
- 4Paint the engine body, cab sides and carriage bodies in ocean blue and sky blue, then add tomato red to the roofs and front buffer.
- 5Fill the carriage stripes with golden yellow, and color the tunnel, track ties and chimney top with tan beige, caramel brown and charcoal black.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green in the shadows under the bushes and trees to give the scene more depth.
