Stocking by the Fireplace with Cat, Princess Christmas Style
Coloring guide
On tiptoe, a smiling little girl in a long, ruffled nightgown reaches up to hang a big Christmas stocking from the mantel. Her long wavy hair is tied up with a large fluffy bow, and the stocking has a fuzzy cuff and a holly leaf with berries on the front. A brick fireplace with dancing flames is behind her, and on the mantel sit a lit candle in a holder and a few sprigs of leafy greenery. Down in the bottom right corner, a sleepy kitten is curled up on a round cushion near the hearth. There's lots of room for crayons here, from the wide nightgown skirt to the bricks. Red and green work for the holly on the stocking, warm oranges and yellows for the fire, and soft gray or an orange tabby pattern for the cat. Kids who like Princess Christmas coloring pages usually enjoy Christmas for Kids and Snowflakes too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the girl's skin: color her face, neck and hands with peach skin, leaving the eye whites and the little shine spots white.
- 2Fill the long dress, the stocking and both hair bows with bright red, keeping the white fur trims on the dress hem, collar, sleeves and stocking cuff white.
- 3Color the wavy hair and the wood log with warm brown and dark brown, then add the holly leaf in forest green and the holly garland bush in forest green.
- 4Paint the fireplace bricks and mantel in light gray, the fireplace opening in charcoal gray, and the fire in deep orange with golden yellow at the center.
- 5Color the cat in light orange, its bed in forest green, and the candle in cream with golden yellow holder details.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes in the same colors for shading on the dress and the cat for extra depth.
