In a little city scene, a cartoon race car with big eyes, a friendly smile and a tiny helmet rolls over an arched stone bridge. Down below, a small boat with a cabin and a tiny flag floats on wavy canal water. Behind the car are old-fashioned buildings with chimneys and arched windows, a domed tower, two ornate street lamps, fluffy bushes and a few puffy clouds. The bridge's brick pattern and the round circles on each side give little ones lots of shapes to fill. It's a free printable for kids who like cars and don't mind some medium-sized details. Red or yellow for the car, soft blue for the water, and warm tan and gray for the bridge stones will make the car pop against the town. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: color the top cloud and the small bush by the river in pale blue, leaving the rest of the sky white.
- 2Fill the bridge and arch with warm tan, using golden tan for the darker stones, and leave the river water white.
- 3Color the buildings and roofs: soft yellow on the left, peach on the right, orange roofs, and a tan church tower with a sage green dome. Add trees and bushes in lime green, medium green, and forest green.
- 4Paint the race car red, including the body, hood, and nose, and use charcoal gray for the tires. Make the front splitters bright yellow and the helmet sky blue, keeping the eye whites and nose stripe white.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker shade on the tires and along the edges of the stone blocks to make them pop.
