Street Parade Stilt Walker and Drummer, The Greatest Showman
Coloring guide
This lively town street has a tall stilt walker in a top hat, bow tie and striped suit waving from high above the crowd. Down below, a grinning boy in a bowler hat and vest juggles round balls. Nearby a young drummer in a plumed marching cap and buttoned jacket beats a big snare drum, and a ballerina in a tutu with a flower in her hair bun twirls long, flowing ribbons. A little puppy in a collar trots over the cobblestones beside them. The background is full of bunting flags, balloons, flower boxes, a street lamp, shop awnings and a church steeple. The ribbons and the stilt trouser stripes are perfect for rainbow colors, so red, yellow and blue stripes would feel festive. Save it as a free PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue areas: fill the stilt walker's striped pants, the walker's vest, and the drummer's hat and jacket with bright blue, leaving the white stripes and shirt untouched.
- 2Color the walker's pants, the top hat, and the dancer's skirt with red, then fill the drum stripe and the balloons in red as well.
- 3Paint the trees and bushes with grass green and forest green, adding leaf green and lime green in lighter spots for variety.
- 4Add sky blue to the sky patches, amber to the dog and the walker's hat, and light gray to the stones on the ground.
- 5Use lemon yellow for the twirling ribbons and the right balloon, and peach for the skin tones and pale pink for the dancer's flower details.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each color along the folds, and keep the eye whites, the drum head, and the sky clouds white for a crisp finish.
