Sun and Nine Name-Labeled Planets Scattered Across the Page

Sun and Nine Name-Labeled Planets Scattered Across the Page coloring page

Coloring guide

Nine round circles are scattered across the page, each with a small name label underneath: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The Sun has wavy blotches across its surface, Mercury is dotted with small oval craters, and Earth shows outlines of continents. Mars and Venus have irregular patchy shapes, while Jupiter and Neptune are crossed by wavy bands with a small oval storm spot. Uranus has simple horizontal stripes. Saturn sits at the bottom left with several rings circling its middle. The lines are clean and the spaces are fairly large, so younger kids can manage them with crayons. Try this as a free printable for a science lesson: look up each planet's real colors, then color them and cut them out to line up in order from the Sun. The labels help early readers practice the names too.
