A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big dolphin in ocean blue, including its body, back fin and lower fin, so the largest shape is done first.
- 2Color the sea and waves in sky blue, then fill the sun and its reflection on the water with golden yellow.
- 3Fill the boy's shorts, sock and flippers in royal blue, his backpack in bright red, and his shirt in golden yellow, leaving the small shirt collar white.
- 4Use peach skin for the boy's face, ears, hands, arms and legs, and chestnut brown for his hair. Fill the dolphin's open mouth with coral pink.
- 5Color the fish in bright orange and golden yellow, add cream to the fish bellies, and fill the splashes around the dolphin and tail with light blue and pale aqua.
- 6Optional: add a little extra ocean blue along the lower side of the dolphin to give it a soft shadow, and keep the bright highlights white.
