Surprised Koala Hugging a Tree Trunk

A cartoon koala clings to a forked tree trunk with wide, startled eyes looking downward. Its mouth hangs open in a little round shape, and it has a big solid black nose, two large fluffy ears, and a small tuft of fur on top of its head. One arm wraps around the trunk while its feet grip the bark near the bottom. A short branch on the right holds two puffy clusters of leaves, and the broken tops of the trunk have jagged edges and thin bark lines. The outlines are bold and clear, so this printable page works well for younger kids. Try soft grays for the koala's fur, browns with a few lighter streaks for the bark, and bright greens for the leaf clumps. Then ask children why they think the koala looks so surprised.
