Texas State Flag Outline With Lone Star

Coloring guide
A rectangular flag is split into a tall vertical panel on the left and two equal horizontal bands on the right. The left panel holds one large five-pointed star with a clean outline, centered in the space. The top band and the bottom band are plain and empty, so there is lots of room for solid color. The thick border and simple straight lines make this easy for younger kids to stay inside with crayons or markers. Because the flag is a Texas-style design, it works well for a state symbols lesson. Look at a picture of the real flag first, then color the star, the vertical panel, and each horizontal band to match. This printable page also gives older students a good way to practice neat, even coloring across large areas.
