Three Bees Crawling Over Dripping Honeycomb

Coloring guide
A big honeycomb made of large, open hexagon cells fills this page, with honey dripping off the bottom edge. Three smiling cartoon bees are climbing and crawling over it: one at the top left, one resting on the right, and one hovering near the lower left. Each has big round eyes, curly antennae, a striped body and veined wings. Three honey drops fall beneath the comb, and in the bottom corners a flower with rounded petals and some leafy grass sits on each side. The wide hexagons are easy for little hands, while the stripes give older kids something to work on. Golden yellow and orange would suit the comb and drips, and soft blue on the wings makes them pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the honeycomb: fill the large hexagon cells and the honey drips with golden yellow, leaving the thin white borders between them.
- 2Color the orange honey cells at the top right and near the right bee with honey orange, and the small honey drops at the bottom with the same orange.
- 3Paint the three bees' heads and bodies golden yellow, keeping the eye whites, antennae and legs white.
- 4Fill the bees' wings with sky blue and add charcoal gray stripes across each bee's striped abdomen.
- 5Color the flower petals coral pink, the flower centers golden yellow, and the leaves and grass leaf green, keeping the flower stems white.
- 6Optional: add a few light gray-looking shading strokes along the edges of the honeycomb for depth.
