A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big puppy in the center: fill its head and body with golden yellow, and leave the eyes, nose, and tongue for later.
- 2Color the two side puppies: give the left puppy a tan and brown look, and fill the right puppy with cream, leaving the eye whites and light highlights white.
- 3Add the balloons and party hats: use sky blue, purple, hot pink, sunny yellow, and mint green, then color the striped party hat in light blue and pale gold.
- 4Fill the cake and its plate: keep the frosting cream, color the plate in gray, and add pale gold sprinkles and red for the candles' tops.
