Grinning Jack-o'-Lanterns on a Haunted House Porch

On the front steps of a small clapboard house sit three grinning jack-o'-lanterns, side by side. The biggest has wide round eyes, a triangle nose and a toothy smile. A medium pumpkin on the right and a tiny one in the middle have the same cheerful faces. Behind them are a paneled front door with a round knob, a small four-pane window in the gable and a hanging lantern on a curled bracket beside the door. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the three jack-o'-lanterns pumpkin orange, leaving the big eye whites and the teeth in their mouths white.
- 2Fill the stems and the bushes on both sides with leaf green, then color the front door coral.
- 3Paint the house siding and the gable pale yellow, and the roof edges sky blue, keeping the white trim around the door and windows white.
- 4Color the mouths of the pumpkins golden yellow, the lantern body charcoal gray, and the window panes light blue.
- 5Color the steps light gray, the big red leaves bright red, the bottom middle leaf golden yellow, and the right leaf pumpkin orange.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker orange along the edges of the pumpkins for a bit of depth.
