Tulip Trio: Three Flowers of Different Heights

Coloring guide
Three tulips stand side by side in this simple, bold-lined picture. The tallest one is in the middle with a shorter tulip on each side. Each bloom has big rounded petals that overlap in the center, and each sits on a long straight stem. Wide pointed leaves curve up from the base, and some have a single line down the middle. Along the bottom edge you'll find small tufts of grass and a gentle mound of ground. With thick outlines and large open shapes, it's an easy free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil control. Red, pink and yellow tulip heads with green stems and leaves would look cheerful. Crayons, markers and washable paints all do the job. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color all three tulip heads and their petals bright red, working one petal at a time so the outlines stay neat.
- 2Fill the long leaves, the small leaves at the base, and the two grass tufts at the bottom corners with soft green.
- 3Color the three stems forest green, starting with the tallest stem in the middle.
- 4Leave the open gaps of ground between the leaves and the background white so the flowers stand out.
- 5Optional: add a few darker forest green strokes along the leaves or a light red stroke on the petals for a bit of depth.
