Tightrope Girl and Her Monkey Pal, The Greatest Showman
Coloring guide
A smiling young performer walks a tightrope holding a long balancing pole in both hands, her feet crossed one in front of the other as she steps along. Her hair is in a bun with a star clip, and she wears a long-sleeved leotard with matching leggings covered in stars of different sizes, a big star on the chest and frilly shoulders. Her ballet-style slippers match the look. On her shoulder sits a cheerful little monkey with a curly tail, grinning beside her. The rope is tied to two tall posts with round ball tops, small clouds drift in the sky, and fluffy treetops or bushes peek up at the bottom. There are lots of stars to fill in on this free printable. Try bright purple and gold for the costume, with a different color for each star, and brown tones and a pink face for the monkey. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the leggings and the leg in violet purple, and fill the leotard body with violet purple too.
- 2Color the sleeves, the lower edge of the leotard and the shoes in hot pink, and add the yellow belt in golden yellow.
- 3Fill the tightrope bar and both poles in bright blue, then color the balls on top of the poles golden yellow and the rings below them coral.
- 4Use chestnut brown for the hair and the monkey's body, and peach skin for the face, neck, ankles and the monkey's face. Leave the gloves and the monkey's tail white.
- 5Color the clouds pale sky blue and the grass at the bottom grass green, leaving the empty ground area white.
- 6Optional: add golden yellow star details on the hair and leotard, and use a slightly darker shade of each color on one side for a little depth.
