Tiny Spotted Snake Sitting Up Tall
Coloring guide
Sitting up tall with its neck curved into an S, this cheerful little snake has big sparkling eyes and a wide smile. Its forked tongue peeks out, and a small curled tail flicks up on the right. Two thick rings of coils sit at the bottom, covered in large oval spots, while simple belly stripes run down the neck. There's no background at all, so the snake stands alone on the white page, which keeps things clear for little hands. Bold outlines and roomy spaces make this free printable a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids with chunky crayons. Bright green with yellow or orange spots would look great, and a pop of pink or red on the tongue makes it stand out. - grass green
- soft orange
- pale yellow
- deep orange
- coral red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big green body: color the head, the long neck, the tail, and both coils in grass green, leaving the eye shines white.
- 2Fill the tongue in coral red, with a small tip sticking out from the mouth.
- 3Color the bands along the neck in pale yellow, working from the top band down to the bottom one.
- 4Add the round spots in soft orange on the neck and coils, then use deep orange for the larger spots on the lower coil.
- 5Finish the eyes by coloring the dark pupils black and keeping the white shine spots and eye whites untouched.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green on the lower edges of the coils to make the body look rounder.
