Dust Cloud Brawl With Bat and Frying Pan: Tom and Jerry
Coloring guide
In the middle of a huge puffy dust cloud, a wide-eyed, scowling Tom grips a big wooden bat with a nail poking out. Jerry crouches on the right side of the cloud holding a frying pan, tongue out and looking determined. A rolling pin sticks out of the bottom, a cat paw with claws extended reaches in from the upper right, and a lit stick of dynamite floats at the top. Stars, swirls, zigzag lightning marks and sweat drops fill the space around them, with speed lines bursting from the center. In the lower left corner, a scruffy bearded man with wild hair runs for it. Bright red or orange would suit the dynamite, and soft gray-blue works for Tom's fur. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big dust cloud in the middle and fill it with pale sky blue, leaving the small puffy edges and the white background around it untouched.
- 2Color Tom's head, arm and chest in medium gray and light gray, keeping his muzzle, glove and teeth white.
- 3Fill the baseball bat and the bat handle end with light tan, then add caramel brown to the rolling pin and dynamite stick.
- 4Paint Jerry's body and ear with caramel brown, and his hand with light tan, leaving his eyes and the white parts of the page clean.
- 5Color the frying pan and the lower cloud shadow in medium gray, and add red orange to the stars in the corners.
- 6Optional: Add a golden yellow touch to Tom's eye iris and a coral pink touch to Tom's and Jerry's inner ears to make the characters pop.
