A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big gray areas: color Tom's head, body, legs and tail with slate gray, leaving the white glove, feet, and belly patch uncolored.
- 2Fill the wooden box front and side with orange brown, then use tan for the inside wall of the box.
- 3Color the mice and the drumstick with rich brown, and add light orange and golden orange to the cheese pieces.
- 4Add pale pink to Tom's inner ears and Jerry's ear, and bright red to Tom's open mouth.
- 5Fill the cheese with lemon yellow, and color Tom's eye yellow while keeping the eye whites, nose highlight and glove white.
- 6Optional: Add light gray shading on Tom's belly and hip for a little depth, and leave the white highlights as they are.
