Three little sea creatures wearing round diving helmets and air tanks gather around an open treasure chest. A spotted turtle peeks over the lid from the back. On the left, a whiskered otter-like pal kneels with a paw on the chest, and on the right a smiling dolphin-like friend holds the lid open. The chest holds scallop shells, big starfish, a tiara-style crown and lots of round pearls, and a bead strand hangs over the keyhole front. Behind them are tall seaweed, rising bubbles, three small fish, a starfish on the sandy floor and some rocky bumps. Glowing golds and pinks would suit the treasure, with soft blues for the helmets. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the wooden treasure chest with chocolate brown, including the lid and planks, and use caramel brown for the otter's head, paw and muzzle.
- 2Color the diver suits: use ocean blue for the manatee and turtle suits, sky blue for the otter suit, and royal blue for the otter boot and turtle strap.
- 3Color the turtle face in lime green and its spots in grass green, then fill the manatee body in light steel gray and leave the eye shine and turtle eye highlights white.
- 4Paint the helmet glass in pale blue, add leaf green seaweed on both sides, and use tangerine orange for the starfish.
- 5Fill the chest trim and ornaments in golden yellow and honey yellow, and add burnt orange to the metal bands and the pearl chain.
- 6Optional: add a few soft pink shells and a touch of pale yellow sand around the chest bottom to finish the scene.
