Two mermaids hug each other tightly in this warm scene. King Triton is a broad-shouldered merman with long flowing hair, a beard and a spiked crown. He wraps his strong arms around Ariel and rests his cheek on top of her head. Ariel's eyes are closed, and her long wavy hair spills down her back. Their fish tails curve down the page, each finishing in a big fin with lots of lined detail. Nothing is drawn behind them, so the pair stays front and center.
