Campfire Rescue by a Blastoise Turtle With a Hose

On all fours, a smiling cartoon turtle sprays a stream of water from a hose nozzle onto a crackling campfire. The fire sits in a ring of round stones with logs stacked in the middle, and water droplets splash around the flames. A small hat sits on top of the turtle's shell, and the hose loops around the shell's edge. Behind it are two tall pine trees, a camping tent, a fallen log bench, little grass tufts and a night sky full of stars. The free printable has big shapes and open space for younger kids, plus enough small details to keep older ones busy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the turtle's head, arms, legs and feet with bright lime, leaving the small round spots white.
- 2Fill the turtle's shell and the logs by the tent with wood brown, adding darker lines between the shell sections.
- 3Color the pine trees with pine green and leaf green, and the tent with tangerine orange.
- 4Use flame orange and golden yellow for the campfire flames, then fill the stones at the bottom with stone gray.
- 5Paint the hose with charcoal gray, its red band with bright red, and the water spray with sky blue, keeping the water drops white. Color the hat butter yellow and leave the eye shines white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the shell and tree edges to make the drawing feel more three-dimensional.
