Twisting Autumn Tree with Birds, Hedgehog and Mushrooms
Coloring guide
A tall tree with a twisting, swirled trunk fills the page, topped with big rounded cloud-like clusters of leaves with curly spiral details. Two small birds perch among the branches, and several oak-style leaves are scattered through the canopy. More leaves drift down through the air on both sides. At the base, a small hedgehog tucks against the trunk beside two groups of mushrooms, with a little flower and curling plants nearby. A thick pile of lobed oak leaves covers the ground around the roots. The mix of large open shapes and small details works well for different ages. Try warm reds, oranges and golds for the leaf clusters, then use browns and soft grays for the trunk, hedgehog and mushrooms. Kids can also count how many falling leaves they spot. It's a free printable that fits a fall nature lesson.
