Twisting Through the Sky on a Broomstick with Harry Potter

A young wizard with round glasses and messy hair twists through the air on a broomstick, one knee raised high and the other leg stretched out behind him. He wears a long hooded robe that flows out in big loose folds, with jeans and lace-up sneakers underneath. The soles of both shoes show a crisscross pattern, and one hand is held open in front of him. His face looks surprised or alert. The twiggy broom bristles fan out on the right side with lots of thin lines. Try a dark color for the robe and warm browns for the broom, then add texture to the bristles with short crayon strokes. The large open areas on the robe and jeans are easy for younger kids, while the shoe patterns suit more careful hands. This free page also works well for a lesson on drawing motion.
