Pair of Pom-Poms for Cheerleading With a Star and Grass

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the star at the bottom right and fill it in with golden yellow, leaving the outline clean.
2. 2Color the thin stem under the right pom-pom lime green, so it peeks out below the fluffy strands.
3. 3Work through the pom-poms by alternating strands: fill every second strand with royal blue and the rest with golden yellow, starting from the left pom-pom and then moving to the right one.
4. 4Color the tight bands at the centers of both pom-poms royal blue to make them stand out.
5. 5Leave the grass and background white, and keep the small highlights on the strands white as a bright shine.
6. 6Optional: add a few light, back-and-forth pencil strokes in each strand's direction to give the pom-poms a soft, textured look.
