Two bear cubs are up on their back feet with their arms wrapped around each other in a big, cozy squeeze. The one on the left is slightly taller and has a tuft of fur on its head. The one on the right has long eyelashes and a small curl of hair. Round ears, wide open mouths, and sparkly eyes show up on both. They're standing on a grassy hill dotted with little grass tufts, and flowers with five rounded petals and pointed leaves bloom in the bottom corners and along the right edge. Shapes are big and lines are clean and bold, so this free printable PDF suits preschoolers and early elementary kids. Honey and golden browns would work for the fur, but choose two different shades so the cubs don't blend together. Pink, yellow, and purple flowers will pop against green grass. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the left bear: fill its head, body, arms, paws and back ear with warm brown, leaving the bright eye shine white.
- 2Fill the right bear's head, body, arms, legs and back ear with honey gold, so the two cubs stand out from each other.
- 3Color the inside of both bears' ears with blush pink, then add the open mouths and tongues in rose pink.
- 4Paint the grass tufts and leaves with leaf green, and the flower stems and grass between the legs with light grass green.
- 5Color the flower petals cream white, leave the gaps between petals white, and fill each flower center with sunny yellow.
- 6Optional: add a darker brown shadow along the left bear's sides and under the arms to give the cubs a little more depth.
