Two Interlocking Outlined Hearts With Ribbon Style Bands

Coloring guide
Two large hearts overlap in the middle of the page, each drawn as a thick band instead of a solid shape. The left heart sits lower and the right heart sits higher, and they weave through one another so the band of one passes over the other at the crossing point. Each heart has a double outline, which gives the bands a flat ribbon look with a slight shadow edge along the outer curve. The inside of each heart is left open and empty, and the background is plain white. Try coloring each heart band in its own color, like red for one and pink or purple for the other, so the over and under weave is easy to follow. It also works well for talking about patterns and how shapes connect. The lines are bold and the sections are fairly large, so it suits crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Print as many copies as you need.
