A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: color the sky areas in light sky blue and the sky beside the rainbow in sky blue, leaving the fluffy clouds white.
- 2Color the rainbow bands from the outside in: bright red on the outer band, tangerine orange next, then golden yellow, leaving the gaps white as in the example.
- 3Fill the grass, bushes and trees with lime green, and use kelly green for the boy's hoodie, the girl's top and the bushes behind them.
- 4Dress the kids: denim blue jeans, chocolate brown boots and boy's hair, emerald green hats with a deep forest green clover on the boy's hat, and burnt orange hair on the girl. Keep the girl's front boot white and leave the eyes white.
- 5Add the pot in charcoal gray and color the clovers in coral pink, golden yellow and meadow green, leaving most of the small flowers and the clover patches white for contrast.
- 6Optional: add light shading with a darker shade of each color along the edges and under the hats to make the piece pop.
