A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: color the street and sidewalks light gray, and the grass and bushes grass green and forest green, adding a few lime green patches.
- 2Color the houses cream for the walls, bright red for the roofs, and pale yellow for the left house, with brown for the doors.
- 3Fill the boy's helmet and shorts sky blue and royal blue, then color his shirt bright red and the girl's shirt lavender purple and her pants coral pink.
- 4Paint the faces, arms, and legs in a warm skin tone, leaving the eye whites, smiles, and shoe soles white. Color the bike frames sky blue and the girl's bike violet purple.
- 5Optional: Add a little shading to the sidewalk edges and the bike tires with charcoal black or dark gray for depth.
- 6Finish the lamp posts in teal green, color the lamp lights pale yellow, and leave the outlined bike on the road white.
