- 1Start with the sandy beach and sand mound in sand yellow, leaving the sky and the white sand highlights untouched.
- 2Color the water and the palm leaves: use aqua blue for the sea strip and leaf green for the palm fronds and grass.
- 3Fill the faces, hands, arms and legs with peach skin, then color the hair golden yellow and the chest latches and bands in warm brown.
- 4Add the clothes: cherry red for the boy's shorts and the girl's skirt, bright red for the hat band and headbands, and ocean blue for the boy's striped shirt, keeping the white stripes and blouse white.
- 5Color the pirate hat and the girl's lacing charcoal, the shovel blades silver gray, the shovel handles caramel tan, and the treasure chest body warm brown with golden yellow lid details.
