Two Roses Crossed Over a Big Heart

A large heart outline sits behind two roses whose long thorny stems cross at the bottom in an X shape. One rose is on the upper left and the other on the upper right, both tilted toward the center. Each bloom has layered, curled petals around a small spiral bud in the middle, with little pointed sepals just below the flower. The stems have small thorns and oval marks along their length, and the cut ends stick out past the heart at the bottom. The lines are bold and the open spaces are big, so it works well for steady crayon work. Try coloring the heart in a soft shade and the petals in two or three tones of one color to show where each petal folds over. Then use green and brown on the stems and thorns.
