Two Smiling Steam Engines Side by Side on Tracks

Two cheerful steam locomotives with friendly faces on their fronts sit next to each other on parallel railway tracks, each puffing a big cloud of smoke from its chimney. The engine on the left has a number 1 on its side and a rounded cab with a small round window. The one on the right looks very similar, with a rounded boiler and a matching cab window. Wooden sleepers cross the rails in the foreground, and more smoke swirls around the wheels. Behind them, a curved track bends along a grassy hillside with a few bushes and a signal post in the distance. The big smoke clouds and wide boilers are easy for small hands to fill in. Try coloring the two engines in different colors so kids can tell them apart, then ask them to find the number on the left engine. This free printable is also a good fit for practicing staying inside thick outlines.
