Underwater Brawl: Aquaman Against an Armored Foe
Coloring guide
Two muscular figures clash in the middle of an underwater battle. Aquaman has his fist raised high and a fierce, gritted-teeth expression. Little scale patterns cover his bare chest and arms, and he wears a banded wristguard. His opponent is seen mostly from behind, in a cape and a spiky, finned helmet, with both hands thrown up as if grabbing or blocking. Round bubbles of different sizes float all around them, the only background detail. Kids who love superhero action will enjoy picking out the scales and bubbles. Bright greens and teals work for the scales, and a deep purple or red cape helps the other fighter stand out. Save this page as a free PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring Aquaman's skin areas, including his face, raised fist, both hands and forearms, with peach.
- 2Fill Aquaman's suit, chest, back and lower leg with royal blue, then add navy blue to the darker shadowed parts.
- 3Color the foe's armor and cape with crimson red, using bright red on the lower cape and coral orange on his arm.
- 4Shade the foe's helmet with silver gray, add light beige to its lower part, and leave small white highlights along the edges.
- 5Add brown to Aquaman's hair and belt, dark brown to the belt edge, and dark gray to the ear piece.
- 6Finish with pale blue bubbles scattered around the scene, golden yellow on the wristband and gold trim, and leave the background white. Optional: add a little darker shading under the arms and cape folds for depth.
