Fairy Tale Castle and Rainbow Behind a Unicorn
Coloring guide
In front of the big arched wooden gate of a stone castle stands a smiling unicorn, one front hoof raised a little as if she's about to step forward. A ring of flowers sits on her head, and her long wavy mane and full swishing tail give you plenty of curls to color. The castle behind her has tall round towers, pointed scalloped roofs, small flags on top, arched windows and brick details. A big rainbow arcs over the towers while puffy clouds and scattered stars fill the sky. Down at ground level, fluffy cloud-like mounds, flower bushes and small evergreen trees frame everything. Soft lilac and pink would suit the mane and tail, with bold bright colors on the rainbow bands. It's a free printable, handy for a quick coloring break. - 1Start with the sky and clouds: color the clouds baby blue and the open sky areas white, leaving the highlights and the background clouds bright.
- 2Paint the rainbow arc in order from the outside in: coral pink, orange, lemon yellow, light green, sky blue, and finish the mint and pale yellow bands near the right tower.
- 3Fill the castle walls and towers in beige and tan, with the battlements and gate trim in tan and the top battlement band in apricot.
- 4Color the tower roofs in lavender purple, the flags in coral pink and soft pink, and the wooden gate door in wood brown.
- 5Color the unicorn body blush pink, its tail in golden yellow with a pale blue stripe, and leave the mane, hooves and flower crown white or lightly tinted. Finish the trees, bushes and grass in forest green, emerald green, grass green and lime green. Optional: add a little darker shading under the castle and unicorn to make them stand out.
