Watermelon Half with Two Slices and Seeds

Coloring guide
A half watermelon sits in the back with its flat cut side facing up, scattered with small teardrop seeds. The outer rind shows wavy stripes running down the side. In front are two triangular wedges leaning against each other, each with a thin rind edge along the curved bottom and a handful of seeds on the cut face. A few loose seeds lie on the ground at the lower right. The shapes are big and the lines are bold, so it works well for younger kids using chunky crayons. Try coloring the rind stripes in two shades of green, then pick red or pink for the fruit and leave the seeds black. It is also a nice prompt for counting, since kids can tally the seeds on each slice and the loose ones on the ground. This free printable fits easily into a summer fruit lesson.
