Friendly Gingerbread Man Waving in Front of a Gingerbread House
Coloring guide
A smiling gingerbread man stands in the middle with one arm up in a friendly wave. He wears a bow tie, has three round buttons down his tummy, and shows off rosy circle cheeks and wavy icing lines on his arms and legs. The gingerbread house behind him has a big swirled peppermint at the roof peak, round candies along the scalloped icing, an arched window in the center, and two square windows with icing trim. Beside him on each side you'll find a big swirl lollipop and a gumdrop dotted with little circles, and oval stepping stones lead up a path from the bottom edge. Red and white stripes would suit the peppermint, brown the gingerbread man, and bright pink or green the gumdrops. The shapes are large and easy for young kids, while the tiny candy dots give older kids something to chew on. Free to print. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the gingerbread man's body, arm, and legs in gingerbread brown, leaving the white icing trim along the arm and bottom of the legs.
- 2Fill the house walls and the big tree-like bushes and grass areas: gingerbread brown for the house, forest green for the bushes on both sides.
- 3Color the roof and door with cherry red, and the two windows with bright yellow panes, keeping the snow edges white.
- 4Add the red and green candy dots on the roof, the red peppermint swirl at the top, and the cherry red bow, buttons, and smile.
- 5Use rose pink for the cheeks, golden yellow for the path between the legs, and light pink for the bottom-right candy patch.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the gingerbread body and house with a slightly darker brown to make them pop.
